I've been painting for decades. I love the expression, the color, the texture, the simplicity. Be big, be bold.
20x16 oil on Canvas. After hauling 16 yards by wheelbarrow we had a garden. The birds and squirrels love it. So do I. I look out the study window and see its beauty.
30x36 wall of color. Living in Coraopolis,Pa you saw the foliage change on Sewickly Heights. It would roll right over you.
30x24 Riding horses with Lon to Cross Mtn was grand. So is the view . Shear cliffs, forest as far as you can see.
48x36 Oil on Panel. The vast scope of Scottish fields and the enormous pull of the sea. Captain Ahab ready to set sail from the little harbor.
28x24 oil.Living in Canada the winters were special. First winter had Christmas Eve snow of 36 inches. Next day was crystal clear and ice cold.
16x32 Winter in the North. Vivaldi composed his masterpiece. This is my version. Four paintings of the seasons.
24x18 Oil on canvas I live near Pinnacle Mtn. It's a great little climb. The top is a boulder field; almost impossible to walk across. The view is precipitous.

16x32 Summer is one of the four seasons paintings. a tip to Vivaldi.
Can you feel the heat? In the south it's intense. It's blinding
24x24 oil. I love an apple. At the store they're in the bin. I mixed them up and added movement. The color is compelling.
24x24 oil on Panel. This was painted Dec 2015. It's the new beginning: bold, bigger than the canvas, four headed with blue part of the composition. It's loud, it's large. Like Donald, it's bodacious.

Gloriously a spring day. All is in bloom. Green is bright and strong. Isn't violet great. 36x32 oil.
11x14 oil. Walking through Kanis Park, the median of Chenal parkway, there is a bridge. It's long and straight. Amazing. It brought to mind the phrase "staight and narrow". The light is salvation.
Out towards Seattle is the Spruce. They are magnificient. The blue is strong in the tree coupled with the soft red and green of the flowers.24x30 oil.
Who loves brown? It's often ridiculed. I ride my bike past this scene often. The harvest of the hay is surreal as the shapes fill the landscape. Spooky. One of three paintings of this scene, the others are the "Turning" and "Silence" 24x30 oil
24x24 oil. I love Van Gogh. Who doesn't? Remember his chair or Gauguin's Armchair. This is my corner.The green rug offsets the soft red of the armchair. Love the green of the yard.
30x26 oil. I drive by this regularly scene. When the sunlight hits the creek bend in the fall the scene lights-up. The blue and crimson offsets the warmth of the yellow and brown.
Wake-up and visit your own backyard. The bright sunlight in the background and the dark blue, violet in the foreground. It's stunning. 20x23 oil
24x16 oil. I love the soft burnt orange of the wild grass. Surreal background of bluish violet against the orange is dynamic.
24x24. Evening is here. it's quiet. It's a beautiful Green Valley. Life can be so sweet.
20x16 oil. Riding up-country in northern Arkansas. The fall is breathtaking. Colors are vivid. a lazy ride gives time to appreciate it all.
48x28 oil. Wild and crazy is the sea. The tide roles in. All pay homage to the goddess, the Moon. Her pull is relentless. Don't you love Van Gogh?
20x24 oil. This beautiful majestic pine rules over his pond. Pinnacle oversees him. Wondrous juxtaposition of kings reflected from below
The driveway back to home. Love this color. Deep violet offsetting high yellow. I can't get enough of this scene.

I always eat the cheese and bread, must have the wine. Isn't Mary delectable. Isn't life great. But there is a wrinkle here. Great color. 30x24 oil. The last painting my daughter saw.
24x24 oil. I wanted to make a red painting. They're so powerful. This did the trick. The greyed reds in the background heighten the foreground.
30x30 oil. Cherry Blossoms symbolize the new spring. Joyous times. Bold color and simple composition. Vivid brush strokes make it stronger I love the blue and yellow green

30x24 oil. We have a great dog park at the river called Rebsaman Dog Park. If you take a walk around you find the pond. Another fine fall day.
16x32 oil. The second of the Seasons paintings. I love the big green and small violets in bloom. The creek is running strong. All is fresh and new.
24x18 oil. Kanis creek early in the morning. There is a little mist in th eair. The sun is captured by the mist; it can't escape. The stream sparkles, it's aglow.
24x30 oil. I grew up in Pittsburgh. I have to do a bridge painting. Little Rock has its fair share. The barge is the lifeblood of river cities. The Stephens building is in the background. The waves are hypnotic as they reflect the sunlight.
24x20 oil. I use to go to Stone Harbor New Jersey for summer vacation. The back bay at sunset is overpowering. The light dances on the waves.
24x20 oil. Everyone has the potted green plant. The little brown pot makes painting. The only dull item to be seen.
The background blues are a symmetrical, and not parallel: a double- take
20x16 oil. No leaves remain. Just the underbrush and the bright sun. Little Rock has many rough edges, rocks galore.
14x11 oil. A good autumn painting the breath of orange and brown.
16x32 oil. Birch trees of the North. It's autumn. They've turned. The yellows are bright, strong, pure. The grasses are burnt. A contradiction: a warm cold day.
20x16 oil. I love the glare of the sun. The color of the shops. I love the simple boats. The painting is in motion.
14x11 oil. My mother-in-law had an orange painting I needed to compliment. The color works. The painting moves and excites.
